Foundry Athletic Excursion

The Year 7-9 Sports Academy classes will have the unique opportunity to spend two sessions at Foundry Athletic over the next two weeks. Foundry Athletic offers a facility that replicates an elite environment, catering to a range of athletes from juniors to elites.

During these sessions, students will participate in a gym session to learn about the importance of strength and conditioning. They will also engage in laboratory fitness testing and explore various recovery modes, including the use of hot and cold pools. This experience will provide students with valuable insights into elite training practices and the importance of holistic athlete development.

Netball Academy

The Inspire Netball Group facilitates the Academy sessions, which take place on Monday and Thursday mornings from 7:00 to 8:20 a.m. During these sessions, students engage in a variety of activities both on and off the court. They work on honing their netball skills, developing leadership qualities, and fostering positive and authentic interactions with their peers.

Basketball Academy

Conducted by Chase Basketball, these sessions occur twice a week, with attendance based on students' team selections, running from 7:00 to 8:20 a.m. The focus is on skill and fitness enhancement, game play, and the development of sportsmanship. Additionally, students partake in various competitions throughout the year against other schools also partnered with Chase.

Athlete Development Academy

Conducted by Base Physio + Performance, these sessions are held on Wednesday mornings from 7:15 to 8:20 a.m. The focus is on developing students' movement skills to enhance their ability to engage in a variety of physical activities. This approach also aims to reduce the risk of injury by teaching proper movement mechanics and techniques.
