YOUR HELP TO TRANSLATE FANTASTIC FETE!

One of the great benefits of FPS is the diversity of our students and families. So this year, we wanted to celebrate that diversity by having the word ‘fantastic’ or ‘fantastic fête’ in as many different languages of our school community as possible on the poster.

If you or your child can help us by writing how you would say something similar to “fantastic” or “fantastic fête” in any of your family’s languages on the paper at Mary’s desk, that would be so wonderful! Even more wonderful if the translation has alliteration (same letter or sound at the beginning of each word!)

FÊTE COMMITTEE

We are blown away to see the interest from so many parents to be involved in the fête this year! Thank you to everyone who has registered their interest and/or attended the first couple of meetings!

If you would like to be involved in coordinating and organising the fête in the lead up (such as coordinating and organising the stalls, activities, entertainment and fundraising in the lead up), there’s still plenty of space and time to join us!

In particular, we are looking to fill these 2 roles:

  • Marketing coordinator (to assist with communications, publicity and marketing including on social media)
  • Stall coordinator (being the contact person for the external businesses and parents running stalls both in the lead up and also helping to manage logistics on the day of the fete)

If you’re interested, just sign up at the front office or you can contact the fête co-ordinators: Evelyn Tadros evelyntadros@gmail.com 0402 137 182 or Lauren Marquet lauren.marquet@gmail.com 0411 112 145.

If you can’t commit to another committee but you have skills, goods, services or ideas that may be beneficial for the day, please also let us know!

For those who wish to volunteer on the day, we will send out a volunteer roster closer to the fete that you can sign up to. We will need lots of hands to make light work!

PARENTS MORNING TEA / CANDLE MAKING

Badria is hosting the next parents morning tea from 9:15 am on Monday 24th June 2024 and it is open to all! Feel free to drop by.

For those who are interested and keen, Badria is also teaching parents how to make candles which will then be sold at the fête!
