From the Classrooms

From the Grade 6 Camp
From the Grade 1 Incursion
This week, our Grade 1 and 2 students enjoyed a fun and creative “Trash Puppet” incursion! Students explored how everyday recycled materials can be transformed into unique and expressive puppets. Here’s what they had to say about it:
"It was really good and creative and it was cool how they made puppets out of recycling" - Isla 2FM
“The trash puppets were so fun to make” -
Thisbee 1S
"It was really good because the mermaid played thunderstruck on the electric guitar" -
Teddy 2FM
“I thought it was funny when the squid tried to lift up the ship” -
Scarlett 1S
"I liked the mermaid because it inspired me to make my own mermaid in the Trash Puppets and I loved it" -
Zoe O 2FM
After, our Grade 1 and 2 students created their very own puppet with items such as cardboard, fabric scraps, bottle caps, and more.
A big thank you to our wonderful families for generously sending in recycled materials. Your support made this hands-on experience possible and helped bring the students’ ideas to life!
