Final week of Term 1

Who can believe that it is the last week of Term One.
Students have continued to work towards their learning goals right up until the end of term, and we are all looking forward to a well‑deserved break for both staff and students.
Some highlights of the term have included the successful transition of our Foundation students into full‑time schooling, which has been wonderful to see. Our Athletics Day was another standout, and we thank everyone for their enthusiastic participation and support. We are also proud of the continued development of our Koori program, with the appointment of Koori Leaders across the school strengthening cultural learning and student voice.
Last week, our Horticulture group enjoyed a fantastic excursion to the Flower Show, exploring displays and gaining inspiration for their own garden projects. Our Junior School students have been actively participating in community access programs, building confidence and independence in real‑world settings. In the Senior School, students have taken part in their final Body Safety incursions, supporting their understanding of personal safety and wellbeing.
On Wednesday, three photographers visited Naranga to capture our students’ learning in action and the many engaging programs we offer. These images will feature in our promotional materials and on our soon‑to‑be‑launched Naranga website, which we’re all very excited about.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all families for the very generous donations to our Easter Raffle. Your kindness and contributions help make these fundraising events such a success.
Enjoy your break.

PMP - Term 1
Sarah (OT) and Jordan (Therapy Assistant) have been running PMP once a week with PLC 1 & 2 . PMP is a movement-based program that promotes the development of abilities such as balance, fine & gross motor skills, body awareness, and coordination.
The main focus for the term was to familiarise students with the program and build their confidence through repetition of key skills and activities. The students have participated in a wide range of activities that are rotated through each session.
Some of the students' favorite activities include crawling through tunnels, walking across balance beams, jumping over hurdles, and bouncing basketballs in hoops.
Sarah and Jordan enjoyed observing all students approach each activity with excitement and try their best to overcome new challenges. Sarah and Jordan look forward to starting back next term.
Mobile phones
A timely reminder that the Department of Education requires students who bring mobile phones to school to hand them to their classroom teacher, where they will be securely stored for the day.

DIVING INTO SUCCESS
Beleza
Dear School Community,
Temporary Changes to Trading Hours for School Holidays With the end of Term 1 quickly approaching, we’d like to advise you that there are changes to the trading hours of all Beleza retail stores during the holiday break.
Your local Beleza store will be closed during the first week of holidays. We’d recommend families check their local store’s Google listing to confirm opening hours before visiting a store. As we have multiple Beleza locations across Victoria, we suggest searching “Beleza + Your Suburb Name” to ensure you’re getting the most relevant information.
Please note that the Frankston store will be closed from Thursday 2nd of April until Monday 13th of April. We’ll return to our usual trading days and hours across all stores from Tuesday 14th of April, however as our trading days differ from store to store, please check your local store’s trading hours.
We’d like to apologise for any inconvenience that these changes may cause, and thank you for your understanding. We hope you all have a safe and enjoyable holiday break!
Kind regards,
Beleza School Uniforms
Anzac Day- Appeal Items
We have received Anzac Day badges, wristbands, and pins from the Frankston RSL Club.
The prices for these items range from $2 to $5. They are available for purchase from the office.
MEDICATION
The information below is from the Department of Education policy advisory line.
Schools must ensure all medication to be administered is:
- accompanied by written advice providing directions for appropriate storage and administration
- in the original container with the original label including the name of the student, information on the dosage and time to be administered
- within its expiry date
stored according to the product instructions, particularly in relation to temperature.
Schools should encourage parents or carers to consider whether they can administer medication outside the school day, such as before and after school and before bed.
Over-the-counter medications (including paracetamol) requires a medical authority form that can be filled out at the office.
PICK UP ARRANGEMENTS
If your child will be collected instead of taking the bus home, please email the school so we can let their teacher know. naranga.sch@education.vic.gov.au
If a worker or carer is picking up your child, please send your consent via email and make sure they hold a valid Working With Children Check.
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and supported.

It was a wonderful opportunity to build connections, encourage collaboration, and celebrate the season through creativity and shared reading. A big thank you to everyone involved for creating such a positive and memorable experience for our youngest learners! 🌼
