Principal Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to start by thanking you all for your support of the school in Term 1. Internally, we have been working a little harder across the school to ensure that things run smoothly despite having a few key people missing.

Staffing Updates

Emily Murcott will continue to be seconded to Lilydale Primary School for Term 2. We continue to wish all well, and we know she will be making a big difference to that school community.

Back here at Rolling Hills, we have had to make some changes to try to ensure we continue to meet the high expectations we have for ourselves for the benefit of our school community.

Mr. D Smith has been appointed to the Leadership Team for Term 2. He will be stepping away from 3/4S. Mrs. Wilson will be moving to 4 days a week and will be supporting 3/4S as their teacher for Term 2. This will only be for one Term, regardless of what happens in the future.

One of the regular replacement teachers Mr. Troshchke, will take the Prep Design and Digi Technology specialist class for the preps on Wednesdays.

We all welcome two new Educational Support Staff, Amy Thompson and Remmi Corbett will join the ES team. Congratulations on their appointment.

40th Celebrations

What makes a good birthday celebration? Dress-ups, music, party hats, and cake. The day has been a great success with children having fun on their last day with our 80's themed day. We have also had lots of fun joining in! We will have further 80's and celebratory themed events through the year.

Family Fun Day

A huge thank you to everyone involved in running the family fun day, as well as everyone who attended and purchased a ticket. The $10,000 drag car was very impressive. Hopefully, this becomes a yearly sustainable event.
