MATHEMATICS: Rotations learning numbers and shapes

In Mathematics, KW have been learning to recognise, write and order numbers up to 30 and beyond. They use group rotations to work in targeted, small groups with the teacher, an Education Assistant or independently. With Miss Wheeler, KW were matching numbers and counting collections through games. With Mrs Wheeler they were making connections between counting collections and recognising and writing numbers. Independently they used playdough to make 2D shapes to reinforce past units. 

CREATIVE ARTS: Show art

In art, KW have been learning about how a variety of lines and colours are used to create interesting art. Over the past few weeks, they have been working on their Show art to be entered in the Narrabri Show with a focus on using line and colour to create handprints.
