School Council

School Council comprises of DET employees, parent members, and co-opted community members.

  • DET employees include Monique Corcoran, Jodi Price, Sheree Bretel, and Paula Fleming
  • Parent members include Aden Hogan (President), Emma Thompson (Vice President), Adele Chen (Treasurer), Jodie Hewson, Aftab Hussain, and Jessica Rabba
  • Community members include Geraldine Oborne and Leanne McDonald

School Council met Tuesday 9th September 6.30pm.  Discussion points of note include:

  • Learning and Wellbeing Report focusing on Youth Worker, Individual Education Plans, Behaviour Support Plans (and Ready to Learn Plans)
  • Policy Report change to the Complaints Policy inc "LPS will acknowledge receipt of a complaint within 2 school days, and will seek to resolve complaints within 10 school days" 
  • Finance Report - Annual Finance Attestation complete
  • Facilities Report - Confirmation of being successful in the GGSB program to receive a 99kW solar power system, at a value of $106K.  The VSBA will deliver this project, with works expected to be complete by Term 1, 2026.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing PFA for organising such a wonderful Father’s Day stall! Your time, effort, and creativity made the day extra special for our students and their dads and dad like figures. We truly appreciate all that you do to support the LPS school community.
