What’s happening in… Year 6! 

This week in Year 6, students are exploring the Cartesian plane, learning to read and plot coordinates across all four quadrants and use these to represent shapes. They are developing their understanding of transformations, including translations (moving), reflections (flipping) and rotations (turning) and investigating how these transformations affect the position and coordinates of each vertex.

At the beginning of each session, students also participate in Daily Review, revisiting key concepts and skills from previous learning to strengthen their understanding and build mathematical fluency. In 6M, students were revisiting their measurement unit in their Daily Review.
