Dear Parents and Carers,
It was such a pleasure to spend time with the grandparents as they visited St Martha's on Monday. The prayer service in the morning was beautiful and the students reflected on the many things they love about their grandparents. We were blessed to have a large number of grandparents visit our school. The classrooms were buzzing with a lovely energy as the students showed their grandparents their learning spaces and spent time working together. Our morning tea was a lovely celebration and many grandparents expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to spend time in the school.
The grandparents were given a small gift to help them remember how much they are valued. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful grandparents in out community. We remembered in our prayers all those grandparents who have already returned to the Father and are watching over us from heaven. Much gratitude to all who helped to make the day very special.
On Monday evening I was honoured to attend the Burwood Rotary Citizenship Award Dinner. Two of our students were awarded for their contributions to community and leadership. Mayella K and Matthew L were recognised for their leadership, community contribution and encouragement of others. During the course of the evening we were told about the work undertaken by Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children. The charity does amazing work supporting children with serious medical conditions who have no access to appropriate specialist treatment. You can learn more by visiting the ROMAC website.
Tables are filling fast for our Trivia night. There are many great prizes and loads of fun to be had. Please consider coming along. Get a table together or join other individuals who are looking for an entertaining evening. Please register by booking using the link below.

Thank-you to all parents for prompt payment of fees. If you have not finalised your fees for 2024, please ensure all fees are paid in full by 25th November 2024. This helps us with our budgeting forecast for 2025 and ensures we can cover all our costs at the end of the year.
Today we welcomed all our Kinder students for 2025 along with their parents for our large group orientation. Huge thanks to all the staff and school student leadersfor the wonderful welcome and informative presentation. It is always such a delight to see the excitement of the new Kinders as they explore their learning space and meet new friends. The parents were very appreciative of the opportunity to hear about the way they can help to prepare their children for a successful start to 2025 and took the opportunity to meet new people and build relationships. We look forward to a wonderful year ahead with many new families joining the St Martha's School community.
Here's to making the St Martha's "village" a warm and welcoming place where everyone feels safe to grow in faith and in learning.
I look forward to seeing many of you at our K-2 Family Mass this Sunday. Details on Mrs Ronzini's REC page.
Peace and Best Wishes,
Carolyn Parsell
