Class Chronicles

Year 1
While Stage 3 were in Canberra on their excursion exploring Parliament House, Year 1 was read a book in their library time by Mrs Hart called 'A Loo of One's Own' by Eleri Harris.
Is an acclaimed children's picture book set in 1943 that explores themes of equality and accessibility. The humorous historical tale follows Enid Lyons and Dorothy Tangney, the first two women elected to Australia's Federal Parliament, as they discover a glaring oversight on their first day: no women's restrooms existed for elected officials in Parliament House. They soon fixed that issue and the rest is history!
Year 4
Year 4 students recently investigated the principles of static electricity through an engaging, hands on experiment with Mrs Cusack.
Using balloons and paper, they observed how electrostatic charges can attract light objects to make their paper ghost figures 'dance'!
Year 2
The 'I Survived' book series has arrived in year 2 and there are some keen students excited to read their way through them!
These fast-paced historical fiction books transport kids directly into the heart of history's biggest disasters—from the sinking of the Titanic and the eruption of Mount Vesuvius to Hurricane Katrina—telling each epic story through the eyes of a relatable child who lived to tell the tale.
