CEPS Sports Colours Day

Looking ahead to 2027

It’s hard to believe we are already beginning to plan for 2027!

As we start considering our 2027 class structure and planning staffing for next year, it would be greatly appreciated if families could let us know if their child/ren will not be returning to CEPS in 2027. 

If your family is moving on from CEPS at the end of this year, please send us a quick email at cheltenham.east.ps@education.vic.gov.au

There is no need to contact us if your child/ren will be continuing with us next year.

Italian Day

On Thursday 15th October, we will be celebrating Italian Day. The cost of the day is $26.00 per student. This day is a special event where the whole school comes together to participate in various Italian cultural activities. It gives all students an opportunity to learn about Italy and its culture. Teachers and students will be involved in cultural class activities that may include making Venetian masks, Roman mosaics and making Gondolas. 

Gnocchi Workshop

This year, an incursion has been organised where students will learn how to make gnocchi. They will watch Andrea (an Italian pasta creator) demonstrate the process of making gnocchi. Students will then make their own and take home to cook for dinner. The ingredients are potatoes, salt and flour. A special batch of gluten-free dough will be provided for students who have gluten allergies.

Soccer Clinic

Throughout the day, students will participate in a clinic, learning soccer skills run by Brighton Grammar School. Soccer is the most popular sport in Italy.

Gelati 

Italian Day this year will include the option for students to enjoy a rainbow gelato.  A gelato van will arrive at the school for students to obtain their gelato. The gelato DOES NOT contain gluten, egg, or nuts. Students with gluten allergies will have their gelato served in cups.

Italian Day Costume

To make this day special, students may come dressed in the Italian flag colours green, white and red.

Second Hand Uniform Donations and Sale

We are looking for size 4-6 second-hand school uniform items to help support some of our future Foundation students.

If you have any clean, good-quality size 4-6 uniform items that your child has outgrown, we would greatly appreciate your donation.

Donations of all other uniform sizes and items are also still very welcome and can be donated.  Please place them in yellow bin near lost property.
