Middle Sub School Leader Rooms 10-18

Dear parents and carers,

Our Middle Sub School performance took us on a magical journey through the different lands of Jacana! From singing rainbow trees and a dragon hunt to the Emerald City and Hogwarts, each class brought its own part of the adventure to life. As Middle Sub School Leader, I am so proud of our students and the creativity and individuality they shared. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their efforts and the different ways they participated.

A heartfelt thank you to our teachers, education support staff, narrators and everyone working behind the scenes for the care and preparation that helped bring the performance together. A special thank you to our parents, carers and families who came along to watch and celebrate with us. Your encouragement and support mean so much to our students and staff. It was lovely to share this occasion with our school community. Well done to all our Middle students—we are very proud of you!

ROOM 15

This term, Room 15 has had a blast! We have worked incredibly hard on developing our communication skills both in and outside of the classroom, using AAC devices, talking buttons and a range of visual supports.

Talking buttons have been a big hit in our classroom! Students have loved exploring different letter sounds and character cards during our Little Learners Love Literacy sessions. It has been wonderful to see students becoming more confident in exploring different ways to communicate and engage in their learning.

We also had the opportunity to put our communication skills into practice out in the community during the All in Ariel excursion, which was a huge success. Students were able to participate in the experience while using their communication skills in a new and exciting environment.

The biggest highlight of the term was our school production! All of our students dressed up as lions and proudly showed their families some of their favourite things, including bubbles and balloons. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their interests and celebrate their achievements with their families.

We are so incredibly proud of all of our Room 15 students and everything they have achieved this term. We cannot wait to see what Term 4 brings!
