Acting Assistant Principal Report

Dear families,

It has been wonderful to see how everyone has settled into the start of the school year. Students have been setting up workspaces and reconnecting with friends and teachers.

We celebrated the beginning of the school year with our welcome back BBQ this week. Thank you to student’s, families and community members who were able to come along. It is always nice to connect with families.

The Tuesday elective program commenced this week in the senior school. This year we have a group of students participating in a Certificate II in Horticulture. The project involves developing the school’s kitchen garden area so  the produce can be used in the Trade Kitchen program. Students will also commence off site programs including Travel Training, Outdoor Education, Meals on Wheels, and Digital Communications.

Students in the Junior school continued to enjoy the Risky Kids program this week and the lunchtime enrichment programs developed by our therapy team.

Student Support Group meetings commence on Monday the 19th of February. This is a chance to meet with your child’s new teacher as we work in partnership to develop Individual Education Plans.

A reminder that the new arrangements for after school pick-up begins on Monday the 12th of February.

For class updates and happenings in individual classrooms and throughout the school, please keep an eye on Sentral as this is one of our main communication platforms.

Thank you for a wonderful week.
