Great things are being built at Naranga School
Dear students and families,
I hope that everyone is aware by now that we have a major building project happening at school. There has been so much progress in the last few weeks that I thought I'd share some of the excitement that all of the staff are experiencing with the project. The works will result in an amazing new playground for our Juniors. The playground will be three times larger than the old courtyard. It will have a range of play equipment, a cubby house, and sandpit. But also quiet areas surrounded by nature. One corner will have a basketball court for our sporty juniors. The far boundary of the school grounds will have a new building that houses four classrooms as well as specialist learning spaces for art, performing arts, design technology and physical education. Everyone is so excited to see the finished product. I expect that we'll be able to move into the new building in term 2 next year.
Student Support Group meetings
Next week is your opportunity to meet with your child's teacher during our term 3 SSG meetings. If you haven't booked a time in yet, please be sure to do so as soon as possible.
Booking forms will have come home this week.
Book Fair
The annual Book Fair will be on next week. If you are visiting the school for an SSG, or any other reason, come down to the multipurpose room and have a look at the books available for purchase. This Wednesday we celebrated Book Week with our dress up day. We had a huge number of staff and students in costume. They all looked amazing.
Have a great weekend,
Kai Pukarinen
