Sport Spot

VCE PE
Our VCE PE students headed to the Geelong vs Adelaide AFL game on Thursday night for a fun and hands-on learning experience. Watching the game live gave them a chance to see what we’ve been studying in class come to life, from player movements and intensity to how different energy systems are used throughout the match. They also spotted key fitness components like speed, agility and endurance in action, while analysing skills. It was a great way to connect classroom learning to real-world elite sport.
House Athletics Carnival
Our recent House Athletics Carnival was a fantastic success, with students from all year levels showing great enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and determination throughout the day.
We were fortunate to enjoy perfect weather conditions, with a cool start leading into a warm afternoon that reached 30 degrees, ideal for competition and participation. Students competed across a range of track and field events, demonstrating resilience and house pride.
A big congratulations to all our Age Group Champions

One of the highlights of the day was the always-entertaining Year 12 vs Teachers Relay, with the teachers taking out the win in a closely contested race.
A special mention must go to our House Captains, who once again demonstrated outstanding leadership. Their organisation of house relay teams, encouragement of peers, and support of Mr Reichman played a significant role in the smooth running and positive atmosphere of the day.
We would also like to sincerely thank Brad for his hard work in preparing the oval and painting the lines. The grounds looked fantastic and set the scene for a great event.
A big thank you to Brooke, Carmel, and Nathan for arriving early to assist Mr Reichman with setting up the carnival. Your efforts behind the scenes were greatly appreciated.
Finally, a huge thank you to all staff for their organisation, support, and effort in running events smoothly throughout the day. Your contribution ensured a safe, enjoyable, and successful carnival for all students.
