In the lead up to Mother’s Day on Sunday 10th May, our school community came together to celebrate and acknowledge the important role that mothers and special people play in the lives of our students. It was wonderful to see students excitedly preparing for this special occasion and sharing in opportunities to show their appreciation and gratitude.

On Thursday 7th May, students enjoyed visiting our annual Mother’s Day Stall and purchasing gits for their mums, grandmothers, and special people. I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the many parent volunteers who generously gave their time to organise and run the stall. Their hard work and dedication created a wonderful experience for our students and helped make the event such a success. This year, the Mother’s Day Stall raised an outstanding $3,320. We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of our families and community.

We hope that all mothers and special people in our community enjoyed the thoughtful gifts selected with such care and excitement by the children. Seeing the joy on students’ faces as they chose something special for the important people in their lives was a lovely reminder of the strong sense of care and connection within our school community.

On Friday 8th May, our Open Morning provided another wonderful opportunity to celebrate the mothers and families in our community by welcoming them into classrooms to share in their children’s learning. Thank you to all family members who visited and participated in the learning experiences alongside the students. The morning was filled with enthusiasm, pride, and meaningful moments as children shared their learning with those who support and encourage them each day.

A special thank you goes to Mrs Kate Savigny for organising the coffee van for the Open Morning. It was a lovely addition to the event and greatly appreciated by families and staff alike.

The accompanying cookie sale held during the Open Morning raised an impressive $960.50. Thank you to everyone who supported.
