Principal's Report

Friday 22nd August 2025

Dear Parents and Carers

We are officially half way through this term already! We have had so much to celebrate over the last two weeks within the school, parish and Junee communities.

Last Friday we welcomed Bishop Mark Edwards for the day. He spent time with our Stage 3 students who were preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation last Sunday. It was very special for our school that Bishop Mark also celebrated our whole school Assumption of Mary Feast Day Mass in the morning followed by the awards ceremony in the church afterwards.

Congratulations to those children who were Confirmed on the weekend. It was a beautiful celebration and a big thank you to Bishop Mark, Fr Paddy, Mrs Salmon, Mrs Pratt and Mrs Gardiner for all their preparation and organisation. I’d also like to mention those students in Stage 3 who weren’t Confirmed but journeyed with their peers.

Welcome

We welcome Paul, Nenalyn and Aziel Tumabini to our St Joseph's School Community. Aziel has joined our Year 5 class and the family are very excited about being part of our school family.

Performance Assemblies

Each class will be preparing an item for a dedicated performance assembly to take place in Terms 3 & 4. These assemblies will showcase the creative and practical arts as well as our fortnightly awards. These assemblies will start at 2.00pm. The dates are below for you to add to your calendar and we look forward to you all coming along to share in these special assemblies.
