SPORT TERM 3 

SSV Beachside Soccer Lightning Premiership Kingston Heath  2025

Hi Everyone,

On Monday 11th of August, St Agnes' competed in the SSV Beachside Soccer Lightning Premiership against other schools in the Beachside District at Kingston Heath.  

St Agnes' boys were up against some very experienced teams this year, but they didn't let that worry them, they played with a determination that all sports teams wished they had.  

Game 1: St Agnes' 4 v  South Oakleigh Primary 6

St Agnes' played very well in the first half running the other team into the ground. At half time the score was 3-3. Unfortunately in the second half the opposition scored a couple of quick goals.  Even though it was very even, St Agnes' just ran out of time and were beaten by the eventual winners of the tournament.

Game 2: St Agnes' 1 v South Melbourne Park Primary School 3

This game was a very physical encounter.  The opposition kept bumping our boys off the ball.  They were even committing themselves to slide tackles.  To our boys credit, they stayed level headed, and continued to play the game in the spirit it should be played, but unfortunately it was not our day.

Final : Galilee 1 v South Oakleigh Primary 4

I would like to say a big thank you to the teachers/staff and parents who helped out and came to support the students on the day. Most of all I thank the team for doing an amazing job representing St Agnes'. Parents, teachers and myself are all very proud of you.
