Principal Reflections

Dear Parents and Carers,
Excursion Updates
Our students have enjoyed some wonderful excursions recently, with Years 2, 3 and 4 taking their learning beyond the classroom and making meaningful connections with the world around them.
Year 2 explored the cultural significance and history of Boundary Rock at Moonbi, while Year 3 stepped back in time at Calala Cottage, discovering more about Tamworth’s local history through engaging, hands-on experiences. Our Year 4 students also enjoyed their much anticipated overnight excursion to Dubbo, visiting the Old Dubbo Gaol, the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Western Plains Zoo.
It has been wonderful to see the excitement, curiosity and enthusiasm of our students as they experienced their learning first-hand. Excursions such as these create lasting memories, while building independence, friendships and a deeper understanding of the topics being explored at school.
A big thank you to our teachers, support staff, volunteers and community members who helped make these wonderful experiences possible.
Learning Conversations
This week, we commenced our Term 3 Learning Conversations across the school. The opportunity for families and teachers to discuss student learning progress is a strong example of the value we place on building positive, productive partnerships between the school and home.
To help us continually improve our processes, we would love your feedback. If you have attended a meeting, and have not yet completed our quick survey, please share your thoughts using the link below:
Until next week,
Keep smiling,
Alison Hatton
