Macleod Secondary College Excursion
It was an awesome experience for me. I really liked playing with the clay because we got to make pinch pots. All the teachers were nice. We also had an amazing time in Food Tech, science, sport, and science. Overall, I had a great time, and I can’t wait to go there again. Therefore, I would love to go there in 2026. (Harnoor)
My favourite thing was Food Tech. I loved how she was so nice, and the food was amazing. I also loved lunch because I got to play soccer with my friends. Lastly, it was very fun doing group games and learning more about netball. Therefore, Macleod is great, and I hope I go there next year. (Destiny)
My favourite bit about our excursion to Macleod Secondary College was when we did Food Tech because we made fruit kebabs by cutting the fruit by ourselves. We made some special yoghurt as sauce and dipped our kebabs fully in. We also did Sport, Art, and Science which was just as fun! Therefore, I thought that this was an awesome excursion and would love to go again. (Angus)
It was an awesome experience; it was really amazing. My favourite specialist I liked the most in Macleod Secondary College was when we did food tech. because we made fruit kebabs by using the fruit apples, kiwi, grapes and bananas we got to cut them ourselves. We got to make a yoghurt with honey and vanilla. (Isabella)
I really liked playing with the clay, and the teachers were all nice. We also had a good time in sport, art, Food tech and science. Overall, we all enjoyed the experience and cannot wait to go again! (Saven)
My favourite part about Macleod College was when we did sports, I loved the game we played. In Food Tech, we made fruit skewers, but I did not like the taste. In Science, we did many things, but my favourite part was the physics hand pressure thing. (Sylus)
My favourite part about Macleod Secondary College was Food tech which was making a fruit skewer. I also enjoyed Art where we made clay pinch pots. And finally, PE was also another of my favourite activities where we played some games like netball. (Ashton)
My favourite thing at Macleod College was Food Tech because the food skewer was fun to make. The sport was good, but it was slightly annoying because of the noise and the pushing. Art was my second favourite. We made pinch pots and people had different shapes and sizes. It was so much fun! (Rebel)
On Wednesday, we went to Macleod College to experience the high school feeling. These are my favourite bits of the day: Sport because we had a good competition in Netball, STEM because we learned about some of the most important types of Science like Chemistry and Physics, in Food Tech we got to make fruit kebabs and they were delicious. Art wasn't the best subject, but it was very fun. We got to make clay pots and we'll get them back in a few weeks. (Christopher)
My favourite part of Macleod High School was P.E., In my opinion, I would say I enjoyed the sports we played and lots of running was included, I don’t play netball much, but it was not bad, the hall was really big compared to primary school. (Elissa)
I really loved the P.E. session at Macleod College. The best part was when we played the Netball style game. Basically, we had to get the ball to your teammate in the hoop and once you got the ball you couldn’t Move at all. In Art, we learnt how to make pinch pots. In Food Tech we made fruit kebabs, In Science we went around in rotations to learn stuff about science. I had a lot of fun and Macleod is a great school and I recommend going if you are in the area. (Heath).
My favourite subject at Macleod Secondary College was PE. I liked how we played in a big gym and had a lot of fun playing Netball and Big tag. Plus, it was really competitive in both activities. (Nathan)
My favourite subject at MacLeod secondary college was PE because we could run around doing new stuff that we hadn't done, and I liked how we played in a big gym, and we played netball tag. I liked how it was really competitive. (Jaycob)
Going to Macleod Secondary College was a great experience, we got to participate in many subjects, but my particular favourite was science. I liked science because we did a variety of experiments, one of them was with a plasma globe. You would put a coin on top of it, then a strip of paper and another coin, and the plasma would come out and give a zap to the coin because the metal is conductive to electricity. I own a smaller plasma globe and do the same experiment when I returned home. (Cooper)
My favourite thing in Macleod secondary college was Science but if Art had more time to make a pinch pot art would’ve been much better. My favourite thing about Science was the plasma globe when you touch the glass and the electricity will go to your finger, it was so much fun and you put a coin on the globe and put a piece of paper then another coin on top of the paper it burns a hole through it, I burnt my finger while playing with the plasma globe. But let's be honest, the bus is the best part. PE was also fun we played a big game of tag/octopus, and we played a bit of netball. (Oliver]
All of it was really fun but my favourite part was when we had P.E. where we played the Netball sort of game in Nets Stadium. Macleod Secondary College was big and like a maze which was why it was really exciting. Science was amazing with these chemicals in a spray bottle, and we sprayed it at the base of the fire. (Zara)
I think they put a lot of thought into it. I really loved it, but I think that they could have put a bit more effort into Food Tech. But all in all, it is a great high school. (Arthur)
My favourite subject at Macleod was food tech where we made fruit kebabs. I learned how to cut kiwi properly. Overall, I think the day was really fun! (Hazel)
