Open morning was a resounding success with around 200 visitors attending including 91of those, who are not yet part of the IPS community.
Visitors were treated to tours run by our student leaders where they witnessed and interacted with students exploring and celebrating cultural diversity. From learning about foods to making paper food, to creating toys and cultural sculptures. Visitors also engaged with the ever-popular Arcade Games, where our year 6 students create arcade games to raise funds towards the reducing the cost of the Canberra Camp. The morning culminated with extremely talented performances by our Strings and Orchestra.
If you didn't get chance to visit, have a look through some visual highlights below!

In this newsletter you will find the Department of Education's advice to inform you about the 2025 Student Attitudes to School Survey (AtoSS), which all government school students in Years 4 to 12 are invited to complete. Read the ATSOS page.
The AtoSS is a voluntary student survey offered by the Department of Education every year to help schools and the department understand students' experiences of school.
We will ask your child about their thoughts and feelings about their school, their learning, relationships with other students, resilience, bullying, health and wellbeing, physical activity, and life in general.
ORIMA Research Pty Ltd has been contracted by the Department to manage the collection of the online survey. This year, the survey will be conducted at Ivanhoe Primary School from 19th May to 13th June.
Young people enjoy having a say! This survey has been running for nearly 20 years and helps schools plan programs and activities to improve your child's engagement with school, their wellbeing and their learning. The survey data also helps the Department of Education understand how to improve student learning.
This survey is voluntary. If you do not want your child to do the survey, please opt out by emailing your school at ivanhoe.ps@education.vic.gov.au before the survey period commences on 19th of May 2025.
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the interschool cross country event on Monday. Extra special congratulations go to the girls team who came first in the overall event. Well done! See the report on the IPS Sport Fixtures Page
