Many Hands Make Light Work: Upcoming School Working Bee!
Roll up your sleeves, Parkhill community! We are hosting a School Working Bee to refresh our grounds and continue building wonderful spaces for our students to learn and play. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener, a handy DIY-er, or just want to help for an hour or two, we’d love to have you there. It’s a great way to meet other families while making a tangible difference to our school environment.
The Details:
- When: Sunday, 24 May
- Time: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (Stay for the whole time or just drop in!)
- Where: Meet at the central courtyard for a briefing and sign-in.
- Perks: Energy-boosting snacks and refreshments will be provided to keep our workers fuelled!
Our Main Goals: We have two high-priority focus areas for this session:
- Foundation Play Spaces: Giving our youngest students’ outdoor areas some much-needed TLC to ensure they remain engaging and safe.
- The Community Garden: We’re entering the final stretch! We’ll be tackling the remaining tasks to get the garden fully operational and ready for planting.
What to Bring:
If you have any of the following, please bring them along (clearly labelled with your name):
- Gardening gloves
- Wheelbarrows
- Shovels, rakes, or hand tools
- A hat and water bottle
We look forward to seeing the Parkhill spirit in action as we work together to enhance our beautiful school.
