Term 3 Update

Week 8 is just about done and dusted, which leaves only two weeks to go for Term 3! As we hit the final stretch of the year, it is hard to believe how quickly the year has gone. We can look back on a term filled with lots of events, activities and great memories, with many more still to come in Term 4!

Athletics Sports

After our rain delay last week, our Grades 3–6 students finally managed to make it to Jack Eddy Oval in Moama to compete in the Interschool Athletics. I would confidently say that this was probably one of our best-attended athletics events, which is a real credit to the resilience and determination shown by our ETRPS students!

School pride was certainly on show, and I was incredibly proud to both see and hear our students representing our school with such pride. While it may not always be about getting that blue ribbon, we are super proud of each and every one of our students who gave it a red-hot crack!

A big thank you to Mrs Whitten and all of the other school sports coordinators for organising these events.

Book Week Parade

Wowee! What a huge turnout from our families and school community for our Book Week Parade. I might also add that there has certainly been a step up in the level of costumes our students turned out in this year!

Lots of smiling faces, lots of wonderful outfits and, I am sure, lots of great memories made. A big thank you to Ms Mitchell for organising the event, along with the team at ETRSS.

Free Freddo??? – Complete the Parent Opinion Survey

A friendly reminder to all of our families to complete the Parent Opinion Survey. We use this information to help direct our future goals and targets as a school and identify areas where we can continue to improve.

If you need any support accessing the survey, please contact the office and we can assist.

And, of course, a reminder that your child will receive a Freddo once you have completed it! Just let the office know once it is done.

School Council News

We have now managed to fill all of our parent representative positions on School Council. This will allow us to have some great discussions around future decisions and the direction of our school and, most importantly, our students.

Moving into Term 4, we will invite some of our School Council members to be a part of our school assemblies. This will give our wider community the opportunity to get to know who they are and provide a chance for families to share any ideas or suggestions they may have moving forward.

Student Teachers and Placements

I would like to acknowledge Miss Burls, who finished up after completing four weeks at ETRPS. She slotted seamlessly into the 3/4B space and has a big career ahead of her! We wish her all the very best moving forward and hope to see her back here at ETRPS one day soon!

We also had Miss Jeffreys, who finished her final placement in Prep. She did an amazing job with our little legends and will now return to her 5/6B class. We thank her for all of her hard work!

School Hats

From 1 September, students are required to wear brimmed hats once again, as per our SunSmart Policy.

We will be enforcing this requirement moving forward. Students who do not bring a hat to school will be required to remain in the shade during our scheduled break times.

We have school hats available for purchase from the office for $12. If your family requires any support with uniforms, please do not hesitate to contact the office and we will be more than happy to assist.
