Term 3 Week 7

What a big week at FHS this week. It began on the weekend with the gardening crew coming in on Saturday to clean up the weeds and prune the fruit trees. We have also had our Year 8 sports teams out and about competing in basketball and table tennis, congratulations to everyone who participated. We also celebrated wear it purple day on Tuesday, great to see so many people put on a bit of purple in support and even more people who came to the lunchtime disco and fairy bread event. Yesterday we had book week dress up day with 10Y taking the prize for best dressed form group - great group costume linked with their text from earlier in the year 'Twelve Angry Men'. Special mention to the staff who put in extra effort, Campbell and Olivia and to the students who put on the sausage sizzle - great work.
And we finished off the week with our Spelling Bee competition in which staff and students competed in teams to test their spelling skills. Congratulations to the winning team and apologies to my team for missing the second r diarrhoea (it won't happen again).
