Principal's Address

Hello to all Moonie Families and Community,

Welcome to Week 8, and we have just three weeks left until the end of Term!

Athletics

Thank you to both Bella and Bruce for getting the long jump ready for the kids to practice their long jump in. On Wednesday and Thursday of Week 1 next term, we will be looking for volunteers to ensure all the track and field line markings are set up and ready to go for the first event.

Term 3, Week 1 – The Gums v Moonie at Moonie State School

Term 3, Week 2 – Small Schools Athletics at Meandarra State School

Term 3, Week 5 – Tara and District Athletics at Tara

Reconciliation Day

In week 6, students went to Tara with Mrs Savill and Miss Collins to a Reconciliation event. So many reports came back about all the exciting things they did. For many getting to try emu and kangaroo meat was a highlight along with exploring the emergency vehicles.

Lifeline 3000 Ride

Reports are back from the students and all reports say they had a great time

- Briella and Chelsea enjoyed playing the games organised to help them work together

- Justin and Lincoln were excited and thankful for all the great things, fidget toys, keyrings and water bottles.

Planned Power Outage

There is a planned power at Moonie State School on Tuesday 10th June and Thursday 12th June. This should have minimal impact on our teaching and learning.

THANKYOU!

Thank you to Kirillee for securing more resourcing for Moonie State School. Science of Reading resources will be purchased using the $2 000 received from CRT. The new shade has also been unpacked and is ready to use. Thank you for the time and effort that goes into securing these extras for the students at Moonie State School.

As this will be the last newsletter prior to the school holidays, I’d like to wish everyone a safe and memory filled school holidays. Whether you are staying at home or travelling enjoy the time and we look forward to seeing you back in Term 3
