Oh the Places You'll Go

For the graduating children of 2023

I love a good adventure!  The opportunity to go and explore the natural beauty of what God has created, the feats of mankind’s innovation and whilst doing so challenge myself a little by getting out of my comfort zone.

Besides the moments of adrenaline, but more often serenity (if I am to be totally honest with you), it is the people in which I do them with that makes it an even greater moment in time.

This year the children of Curiosity have been adventurers in their learning.  Their innate curiosity and ability to ask questions, justify thinking, resource their learning with loose parts from other places, and the way in which they have gathered each other into these experiences has been truly a gift to behold.

However, one very special thing that has emerged as these children have learnt about God the Father, is how the gifts of the Holy Spirit are enacted in their lives, expressed through their actions and brought into everyday conversation.  The gifts of the Holy Spirit (love, joy, peace, forgiveness, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) give us the posture to follow God where he leads us every day.

The Curiosity children of 2023 have reminded me this year that following God the Father is an adventure worth taking, an opportunity to share His love and be a blessing to others. Jesus shares with his disciples in John 12, that if we are to follow Him then God’s favour will rest upon our lives. This does not mean that there won’t be challenges, but that as we seek God’s wisdom every day, we have the resources to walk through any situation.

My prayer for the graduating children of 2023, is that they will know the treasures of Heaven on their lives as they seek to follow Jesus every day, and hold onto knowing that whatever adventures or challenges they find themselves in they are never alone.

May God’s favour rest upon your life!

Thank you to everyone who came along on Wednesday for the Blessing Service.  What a beautiful time to spend together.  I appreciate you prioritising the time to attend and making this a special morning for us all.

God bless you,
