Year 9 Beyond - Girls Tribe Camp

The Year 9 Beyond Program have been taking part in Tribe camps of late, and this week, it was the girls turn. On this camp, they focused on three things in particular - personal resilience, tribe bonding and serving others. Practising doing hard things and working on their resilience, they rode bikes in the heat out to Camp Clayton where they camped for the night.

They spent quality time connecting with each other in the evening, and for some, it was their first time camping in a tent. The students spent the next morning helping serve at Camp Clayton, hearing about the work that Camp Clayton is doing as a ministry, followed by helping clean cabins as a practical way the students could also serve others. 

The heat and hills were quite a challenge on the way there and back again the next day, and the girls soon started reflecting on the fact that the hills were just as much of a mental challenge as they were physical. We are very proud of everyone's efforts and the resilience shown this week.
