The term continues to be action-packed!

Students are working hard towards their individual learning goals, completing assessments as teachers prepare end-of-year reports.

Our Pathways students are also wrapping up the year by finalising assignments for their Vocational Education and Training (VET) certificates. These nationally recognised qualifications focus on developing practical, job-ready skills. Students undertaking the Certificate II in Work Skills have shown great effort and commitment as they complete their final tasks for the year.

Career education at Naranga is a shared responsibility, led by our Career Practitioner in partnership with our school-based Head Start leaders. From 2026, learning programs more closely aligned with each stage of schooling—such as career education—will begin to be implemented in the early senior years program. Every teacher will play a role, through focused classroom activities and by helping students see how their learning connects to future career opportunities.

We would like to invite families of students entering the senior school program to an Information Evening on Tuesday, 18 November, from 6:00–7:00 pm. The session will include an overview of the senior school programs planned for 2026.

Social Media changes

From 10 December 2025, age-restricted social platforms must prevent Australians under 16 years old from having an account. While many parents support this, research shows most impacted teens (72%) disagree with the restrictions or have mixed feelings about them. In the upcoming weeks students will be discussing the changes with their teachers.

We recognise that supporting teens to navigate this change will be a community effort.
