St Mary's Shines!

New - Division T20 Cricket

St Mary’s was proudly represented by both a boys and girls team at the recent Division T20 Cricket competition. It was a fantastic day of cricket, teamwork, and school spirit.

Both teams played with great enthusiasm and skill, showcasing excellent sportsmanship throughout the day. The boys team were unlucky not to secure a win in their first three matches, narrowly losing each game by less than five runs. Despite the close results, they remained positive and determined. Their persistence paid off, as they finished the day strongly with a convincing victory in the final playoff for 9th and 10th place. Well done, boys!

The girls team worked exceptionally well together, showing great teamwork and determination. They narrowly lost their first game by just 12 runs but bounced back beautifully to win their remaining two matches. This strong performance placed them in the playoff for 3rd and 4th. With an impressive batting display, the girls set a strong total, but despite their efforts in the field, they were unable to claim enough wickets and went down by 10 runs.

Despite this, their overall results mean the girls have qualified for the Regional Finals in two weeks’ time! We wish them the very best of luck as they continue their great form.
