Term 1 Week 4

No swimming sports, no camps just good old fashioned learning at Fitzroy this week. Heading into the middle section of the term we are all starting to knuckle down and get into some serious learning. Walking around and visiting classes this week it was clear that our students have settled back into the regular rhythms of school life. I spent the day on Wednesday at the regional principal conference where Victorian schools were being celebrated for being the highest performing in the country. So well done to all the teachers and students who helped to make that happen. Thank you to those that put themselves forward for School Council and don't forget that you can get involved in school life by joining a sub-comittee if that is your thing.

Looking ahead to next week:

Tuesday 24th: Divisional Swimming is on at the Fitzroy pool. All of our winners from our swimming carnival are heading off to compete against our local schools. Good luck to them.

Wednesday 25th: School photo day at the junior campus so book your haircut in for this weekend. Photos at the Wurun campus are on Thursday the 26th.

Friday 27th: Year 7 Parent Morning Tea. All year 7 parents and carers are invited to join us for morning tea between 8:30 and 9:30am at the school. Please come along and meet the other parents and we will be sharing photo's and experiences from camp.

Saturday and Sunday: Working Bee - Thank you to the parents who have signed up to help us clear out some of our spaces on the weekend.

Looking further ahead:

Monday 9th March - Labour day public holiday.

Week 7 - NAPLAN for Years 7 and 9.
