A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who attended the School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting last night. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to discuss the important role of the SAC and address the many insightful questions you had. Your engagement and feedback are vital as we continue to shape the future of St. Mary's.
This is an exciting time for our school as we move forward together. I am eager to continue working alongside the parent community to ensure that St. Mary's remains a thriving and supportive environment for our learners.
For those who were unable to attend last night’s information session, I’ve attached the materials shared during the discussion. Included are both an Expression of Interest and a Nomination Form for those interested in taking a seat on the SAC.
If you would like to get involved and help guide the direction of our school, please fill out the relevant form and return it to me via email by Friday next week, April 4. Your participation is vital in helping us build a strong, supportive community here at St. Mary’s.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our school!

Just a reminder that we will be holding a special assembly next week on Thursday April 3 to farewell Margaret.
The assembly will commence at 3:00pm in the school hall.
Next week, Viviane Lacey will be commencing an extended period of Long Service Leave, which will run until the end of the year. During this time, Viviane's absence will be felt across the school, as she has been an invaluable member of our teaching community. Her dedication, expertise, and positive attitude have made a significant impact on all of us.
We wish her well as she takes this well-deserved break.
After our assembly on Thursday, April 3rd, our Year 5/6 students will be hosting our very first End of Term Market! The senior students have been busy preparing and calling for donations of delicious treats to sell at a cake stall, and we’ll also have pre-loved uniforms available for purchase. To top it off, there will be a sausage sizzle for everyone to enjoy.
Please join us!!
I'm pleased to announce that our rescheduled sports day has been booked for Thursday May 22.
More information will be sent home closer to the event - please save the date and come along either as a parent helper or just to cheer on our children.
A huge thank you to Ms Tania for organising this special day.
Also, a big well done to all the students who rode or scooted their way to school. It was fantastic to see so many happy, active participants!
Let’s keep the wheels turning and continue embracing active travel to school! 🚴🛴💨

Harmony week was celebrated at St Mary’s with a splash of orange, lots of great class learning, bracelet making and an orange sprinkles ice cream.
There were lots of great discussions in class about what Harmony means and how we can live together in peace.

As we head towards the end of another wonderful school term, I'd like to take a moment to reflect on the incredible learning, growth, and achievements of our students. It has been a term filled with deep learning and engagement, where curiosity has been nurtured, challenges embraced, and successes celebrated.
The term will conclude next Friday, April 4, at 1:00pm.
