On Your Marks…
I haven’t experienced a St Paul Sports Day before, but from what I’ve heard it is going to be an exciting day filled with lots of energy and enthusiasm. During my recent conversations with children, I’ve mostly had positive responses to looking forward to the day.
I also value days like Sports Day, as it isn’t often we gather as a whole community. It will be an ideal opportunity to connect with and strengthen our community. I look forward to the opportunity to talk with you during the day.
Thank you in advance to staff and volunteers who will be on hand for setting up, running the BBQ and helping out wherever they can.
World Teachers Day
Imagine a role where you had the opportunity to positively nurture and influence the lives of children every day, and you are actually paid to do it. I’ve been blessed to have worked in schools for many years and witness young lives developing. Teaching is an incredibly rewarding vocation. At the same time, there are moments when it is the most challenging vocation you can have.
Tomorrow we will take time to acknowledge and celebrate our wonderful St Paul teaching taff for all that they do. What stands out strongly for me is the manner in which they uphold the image of the child. They hold every child in high regard and see them as unique children of God. They appreciate the privilege and honour it is that you trust us to support you in raising your children.
I extend my thanks and gratitude to our teaching staff for their commitment, nurture, care and skills they give for the benefit of our children. If you have time, why not send them a message and thank them for all they do.
Welcome Mr. Grant
It is our pleasure to welcome Mr. Grant to St Paul tomorrow. While it will be more of an informal agenda with a focus on meeting as many people as possible, my early conversations with him have highlighted how keen he is to understand our strengths as a base to continually improve how we meet all the needs of our children. Feel free to come and say hi to us if you spot us outside during morning drop off or afternoon pick up.
