We are thrilled to share with you some exciting highlights from our Term 1 where our talented students have been diving deep into the vibrant world of performing arts. From mastering the rhythm to exploring diverse cultural dances, our young artists have been on an exhilarating creative journey!
Music
Our students have been honing their musical skills by learning to keep the beat. This foundational skill not only enhances their musical abilities but also fosters teamwork and collaboration. Whether it's tapping on drums, clapping hands, or stomping feet, our students are becoming rhythm maestros!
Dance
In our cultural dance sessions, students have been immersing themselves in the rich traditions of various cultures from around the world. Students also enjoyed learning the 'Heel and Toe Polka' and look forward to performing at assembly early in term 2.
Instruments
The introduction of Boom Whackers has added a colourful and playful element to our music lessons. These vibrant percussion tubes allow our students to create harmonious melodies while having fun!
Drama
We are learning to express ourselves confidently, develop characters, and collaborate with peers to create captivating performances. Drama is not just about acting; it's about exploring emotions, building empathy, and nurturing imagination.
Our younger students have been delighting in the magical world of nursery rhymes! Through interactive storytelling and creative play, they are learning classic rhymes and even reimagining them with their own twists.
In our yoga sessions, students are finding balance, strength, and tranquillity. Through gentle movements, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques, they are learning to connect with their bodies and minds.
