Dear Families,
School Fees
This week we will send out reminders to all families to ensure payment of school fees. If payment of fees is proving a challenge, please speak directly with Tim Moloney ASAP.
If I have not heard from you, we will proceed with our Fee Collection protocols. The last phase of this protocol is calling in the debt collectors.
Repeat - New Tuckshop Token system
The tuckshop staff are rolling out a new tuckshop token system today.
When a child orders an icy pole, slushy, hot chocolate etc., they will have a token placed in the clear zipped section of their tuckshop bag.
The tokens are now specific to the items they have purchased:
- S - Slushy
- M - Milk
- F - Frozen fruit - Pineapple rings & Mango pieces
- HC - Hot chocolate
- J - Juice
- I - Icy pole
Your students may need some support as they become familiar with this new system. We are confident that it will help ensure children only receive items that have been approved by their parents.
Parents & Friends Meeting
Our next P & F meeting will be held on Thursday 20 August at 7.30pm in our staff room.
All parents are most welcome to attend.
Book Week 2026
This year, Book Week will be celebrated at St Francis during week 6 of term 3:
Monday 17 - Friday 21 August
Our Book Week parade day will be on:
Friday 21st August.
As usual, we look forward to seeing your children dressed up as their favourite characters! The theme is "Symphony of Stories".
The Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the school library during week 6 & week 7 (dates to be confirmed).
Shed Unavailability
The shed will be unavailable for training use on the following dates in Term 2 & 3:
- Thursday 13 August (after school) - Set up for Assumption Mass on Friday 14 August
- Thursday 3 September (after school) - Set up for Father's Day Mass on Friday 4 September
- Thursday 10 September (after school) - School Disco
Assembly
3R & 3BH will lead our next school assembly on Friday 14 August from 2.45pm in the Shed. All parents, grandparents and guardians are most welcome to attend.
Christ has no hands but yours.

2026/27 Summer basketball season
Registrations are now open for the 2026/27 Summer basketball season.
You can register on the St Francis Basketball Club website -
The 2026/27 Summer season starts the first week of term 4 and runs until the end of term 1 2027, with a break over the school holidays. For more information about age groups, games and fees, visit:
Registrations close Friday 28 August.
Any players not continuing next season will need to return their uniforms please. Details for the uniform coordinators are available on the club's website.
