100 Days of Prep

Celebrating 100 days of Prep! 

Congratulations to our wonderful stars of Prep. 

It was wonderful to see them enter through a guard of honour from our students, along with their parents. This may have been overwhelming for a few, but it was a sign of what makes our school great, everyone knows everyone and we are truly one family. 

They made necklaces, created very cool portraits and most importantly demonstrated how far they have come. 

Recent assessments demonstrated that our Prep students this year are progressing at an excellent rate and performing well with the sounds, vocabulary and basic number formation. 

This has occurred through increased intervention and explicit teaching that ensures all students get consistent instruction but also regular feedback. 

This is only the beginning, the future looks bright with these stars! Though I must admit, I was a little worried that we already had someone smoking a pipe! 

Thanks to all students and parents involved, along with Mrs Drury, Mrs Crist, Mrs Perera and Miss Jeronimo who work with the class.
