MOTHER'S DAY BREAKFAST
Mother's Day gifts: The children had a lovely time picking out gifts for their mums/special people. If you happen to receive a gift that is just a box - we do have that item that should be in the box, at the office.
DISTRICT SPORTS
Due to the inclement weather prediction earlier in the week, the decision was made to postpone the District sports (Wednesday 6th May) until Tuesday, 25th August.
We appreciate and thank those parents who offered to assist on the day.
HOUSE CROSS COUNTRY
What a stunning morning we had for our Cross Country event! With sunshine, fresh air and beautiful scenery, it was the perfect setting for students to challenge themselves and enjoy being active outdoors with their friends.
It was wonderful to see so many students giving their absolute best as they pushed themselves to be competitive and achieve strong results. Equally pleasing was seeing others simply embrace the opportunity to exercise, have fun and enjoy the experience together. The encouragement, determination and positive attitudes on display throughout the morning were fantastic.
Congratulations to all students for their effort, resilience and sportsmanship. Thank you also to our staff and families who lined the track to encourage our runners, the Mary MacKillop College students who enthusiastically supported and motivated our competitors throughout the event, and to the College for generously providing us with the opportunity to use their wonderful facilities.
Congratulations to the following students who will represent our school at Division Cross Country on Thursday 21st May at Stony Creek:
Harlow H, Pheobe, Leila, Finn, Jake, George, Brianna, Harlow J, Islah B, Hunter, Nathaniel, Clancy, Felicity, Matilda O, Hannah, Elliot, Julian and Mahea

JUNIOR EXCURSION - MARU KOALS and ANIMAL PARK - GRANTVILLE
As part of our Integrated Studies focus on Biological Science, Foundation and Year 1 and 2 students will enjoy a day excursion to Maru Koala and Animal Park in Grantville on Monday 18th May. The bus will leave school no later than 9:15am and we expect to arrive at Maru Koala and Animal Park by 10:15am. This will give the children time to have morning tea and a toilet break, before exploring the park. Students will also listen to a ranger talk and play a round of mini golf. We will be back at school before the end of the school day. School sports uniforms will be worn on this day. Children will need to bring playlunch, water bottle and a cut lunch, preferably in a small, named backpack. As the weather will still be unpredictable, we ask that all students bring a named raincoat. It is going to be a fantastic day out for the juniors.
