A message from the Principal Team

Welcome back to Term 2. We hope all of our families enjoyed a restful break and are settling well into what is shaping up to be another busy and exciting term at Armstrong Creek School. It has been wonderful to see students return so positively, ready for learning and reconnecting with their peers and teachers.

As we begin the term, we would like to farewell two valued staff members.

Firstly, we wish Paris Wild, one our our year 2 teachers, all the very best as she heads off on maternity leave. Paris has made a wonderful contribution to our Year 2 team and wider school community, and we know she will embrace this exciting new chapter ahead. We look forward to meeting the newest addition to her family in the future.

We would also like to thank Hayley Russell, one our education support staff members, as she finishes her role at Armstrong Creek School to take on a new opportunity at another school. Hayley has contributed greatly to our community during her time with us and we congratulate her on this next step in her career. We wish her every success moving forward.

Finally, we farewell Elise, our Office Manager, and thank her for her work and commitment to our students and school community. We wish all the best as she joins the team at Geelong College.

A reminder to all families regarding safety around our school grounds. Disabled car parks are reserved strictly for families and community members who hold a valid disability parking permit. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and respect in ensuring these spaces remain available for those who require them.

We also ask families to continue reinforcing safe travel practices with students. Helmets must always be worn when riding bikes or scooters to and from school. Please also note that e-scooters and e-bikes are not permitted to be ridden to school.

Over the past few weeks, I have been completing learning walks across the school. These visits provide valuable insight into classroom learning and teaching practices, and it has been wonderful to see the consistently high standard of practice across our classrooms. Students have been engaged, focused and demonstrating great pride in their learning.

Finally, we are looking forward to celebrating Education Week with our Open Afternoon on Wednesday 20th May. We welcome families to come along and experience the learning taking place across our school.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support throughout the term ahead.
