TheirCare News

Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 4 of Term 4.

We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.

How is it already Week 4? Time is flying and there’s so much happening! The theme for this week is “Happy Halloween”. Let’s dive into this week’s madness of fun! The children were all excited about the upcoming Halloween school disco happening this Wednesday! In the morning, we had a weekend check-in where the children eagerly shared their weekend adventures and experiences - it was wonderful to hear about their activities and what they enjoyed most during their time off! We spent our afternoons doing lots of Halloween art and craft activities, we made fluffy ghosts and Halloween pumpkin lanterns out of paper plates. The children had a colouring competition and we also enjoyed a variety of card games including spoons, UNO, and Cards Against Humanity. They had a fantastic time participating in various sports games including soccer, basketball, and badminton as they showcased their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while enjoying the friendly competitions.

Pupil of the Week

This week’s Pupil of the Week is Remy Forsyth Bunting of 3KT for being a good friend by ensuring that they are okay when they are hurt or upset. Well done Remy! You should be very proud of yourself.

TC Tucker

This week’s TC Tucker is “BRUSCHETTA”. So instead of having wraps for afternoon tea on Thursday we will have bruschetta. Children are already excited and looking forward to the afternoon tea on Thursday. Next week there will be no TC Tucker recipe, hence we will be swapping the days of wraps and pizza. We will be having pizza on Thursday and wraps on Monday. Families are welcome to submit to us any recipe that you want us to cook at TheirCare.
