TheirCare News
Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 3 of Term 4.
We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
Week 3 already, we’re flying through the term! The theme for this week is “World Teacher’s Day”. This week the children have had so much fun making things for their teachers to celebrate them for the upcoming “World Teacher’s Day” on Friday, 25 October. They made thank you cards and personalise cards using stickers and colourful markers to give to their teachers. The cards all looked amazing, and the children all did such a great job! We also did some mazes and puzzles. Our afternoons are always full of excitement. The children enjoyed playing soccer matches, block soccer, baseball, and football. In the mornings the children played Name-Game and Silent Ball. We also played with spoons and did some free drawing. On Tuesday afternoon the children were so excited to see the Victoria Police members from the Footscray Police Station come to the gym and have a chat with the children and take a group photo.
Pupil of the Week
This week’s Pupil of the Week is Maya Sutton of 1LE, for being a kind, understanding and generous person and for always doing things with a smile on her face. Well done, Maya! You should be very proud of yourself.
TC Tucker
This week’s TC Tucker is “CHEESECAKE”. So instead of having wraps for afternoon tea on Thursday, we will have cheesecake. Children are already excited and looking forward to it. We will be making our TC Tucker recipe every Thursday so there will be changes with our weekly menu until Week 5 of this term. Next Thursday, 31 October, we will be having “BRUSCHETTA” for afternoon tea as it is our TC Tucker recipe for next week. Looking forward to more TC Tucker recipes. Families are welcome to submit any recipes that you would like us to cook.
