Performing Arts News

Hi lovely FWPS community.

I thought I’d confirm with you via the school newsletter what you may have already heard by now: I will be finishing up in my role as a Visual and Performing Arts specialist teacher at the end of this semester.

After about 8 years of teaching in various capacities at FWPS, and several years of teaching Performing Arts full time, I’ve decided to return to casual teaching in order to create more freedom for myself to engage in dance and art opportunities that I just can’t seem to manage whilst remaining dedicated to a full time teaching role. I’ve tried, believe me! It wasn’t an easy decision, as this community is dear to my heart.

Working with hundreds of children each week has taught me a lot, and it has been a privilege and an honour to have participated in nurturing their creative development, and an absolute joy to watch them grow and shine.

This isn’t a goodbye; I’ll still be buzzing around as a CRT…although I may look unnaturally well-rested and calm!

Please feel free to come and have a chat with me in the Performing Arts room on any Tuesday afternoon before the end of the term if you’d like to, or leave a message at the office if you need to make a different time, and I’ll endeavour to accommodate you as well as I can.
