Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 5 of Term 4!

Can you believe it? We are in Week 5 already! This week’s theme is “Halloween”. The children were very excited to see the Halloween decorations in the TheirCare room. This week we have had a lot of fun. We have been doing a lot of arts and crafts activities which the children loved. We started by making the skeleton figure crafts activity in which they used the cotton buds to make the skeleton figure – it was cute and cool! We also did the Halloween characters made of popsicle sticks; it was amazing to see how they turned the popsicle sticks into a Halloween character – they were very creative! As we decorated the TheirCare room according to this week’s theme, we had the children involved in decorating it by colouring the Halloween ornaments that will be placed around the whiteboard. 

We would like to let the prep families know that the prep children are becoming more independent and confident walking to TheirCare in the afternoon. Although they are showing great confidence, they are still being supervised by one of the TheirCare staff as they transit. 

This week’s Pupil of the Week is Tavish Riley for being an amazing helper to the younger children, and for listening to the staff, and for being respectful to everyone. Well done, Tavish! You should be proud of yourself!! 😊😊

Last Thursday the 26th of October was the school disco. We were so excited to see the children wearing their Halloween costumes – they looked terrific! It was lovely to see the children have lots of fun during the disco. 

Unfortunately, we started this week without Ashleigh, as she is away for 4 weeks for her knee surgery. Ashleigh will be back on the 27th of November. We wish her the best and a quick recovery!
