Snapshots from the week

Year 7 Camp: Emu Gully
Our Year 7 students recently returned from an unforgettable experience at Emu Gully Adventure Education Camp, filled with teamwork, resilience, laughter, and plenty of muddy fun!
Throughout the camp, students challenged themselves across a range of exciting activities designed to build confidence, communication, and friendships. From obstacle courses and team challenges to problem-solving activities and outdoor adventures, our students embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and positivity.
It was fantastic to see students stepping outside their comfort zones, supporting one another, and creating memories that will last well beyond their first year at Balmoral State High School. The camp was a wonderful way to strengthen connections, develop independence, and showcase the incredible spirit of our Year 7 cohort.
A big thank you to our staff for their support and organisation, and congratulations to all students for the energy, courage, and teamwork they demonstrated throughout the camp!
Bill Turner Cup
Our boys proudly represented Balmoral State High School in the Bill Turner Cup today, displaying outstanding teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
The squad brought great energy across the day, with several strong individual performances and plenty of encouragement shown between teammates on and off the field. The boys should be extremely proud of the way they represented the school and the positive attitude they brought to every match.
Congratulations to all students involved!
Mother’s Day High Tea
Today, Balmoral State High School students proudly attended and served at the annual Mother’s Day High Tea, alongside Principal Timothy Barraud.
This community-based fundraising event is one we are always proud to support, with our students demonstrating outstanding professionalism, teamwork, and service throughout the day. It was wonderful to see students engaging positively with community members and helping contribute to such a special occasion celebrating mothers and families.
Harmonic Horizons
At the end of Term 1 the instrumental music and rock band programs put on their end term concert entitled ‘Harmonic Horizons.’ As always, it was a fabulous night where students talents were highlighted across concert bands, jazz band, rock bands, percussion ensemble, choir and string ensemble performances.
Congratulations to all on another successful night of music making.
