From the Leadership Team

We celebrated with a cake and what a gift the new play spaces are!

What a privilege it is to be celebrating the 45th year of Good Shepherd Primary School in Para Vista.  The visioning of the school began close to 50 years ago with a gathering of people from a number of churches in the northeastern suburbs of Adelaide.  God has blessed the faith that they had in Him to provide the students and the ongoing finance of the school which has grown from a school of 81 children to that of a school of over 440 students during that time.

We are richly blessed with the relationship that we have with the local Good Shepherd congregation as we share worship and cafe facilities.  In addition to the education of primary aged students the school has expanded to serve children in their pre-school years at Curiosity ELC, and we have a before and after school service, Imagination OSHC, that supports families.

While the physical landscape of the school has changed and developed throughout the years, the community spirit has remained strong, as has the sharing of God's word and Jesus' love.

Good Shepherd is a place where we strive to be a place of belonging, where students, staff and families are connected and growing for life.

The opportunity to celebrate our 50 years is not far away.  As we anticipate this time, we would appreciate hearing from old scholars and past parents who have a story to tell.  We would love to begin collecting more stories and memorabilia for the event.  Please reach out to marketing@gspv.sa.edu leave your name some contact details and what you would like to share, and we will be in touch.

Happy Birthday Good Shepherd Community.

May God continue to lead us where He wants us to go as we move into the future with His hope, joy and peace.
