Principal's Update
As Term 3 comes to a close, we would like to sincerely thank all our families for the ongoing support you have provided to your children and our school throughout the term. Your partnership and encouragement are greatly appreciated.
It has been another busy and rewarding week at KFPS. Today, our Golden Ticket winners enjoyed a range of fun activities to celebrate their positive choices and achievements. Our Foundation students have also been busy completing their swimming lessons and are looking forward to attending Room on the Broom at the Capital Theatre tomorrow.
On Friday, students are invited to wear their favourite footy or sporting colours as we celebrate Footy and Sporting Colours Day. The day will also feature our much-anticipated annual Staff versus Students Football Match.
Footy Meal Deal orders are due today and will be served Friday.
Thursday is the final day for regular canteen menu and operating hours.
Footy Meal Deals will be the only food served Friday at first recess. The canteen will be closed second recess.
Our final assembly will be held on Friday morning 9am and will include the presentation of academic and wellbeing awards. Families are warmly invited to attend.
Please remember that school will finish early this Friday 18th September at 2.30 pm.
School Entrance and Administration Area Upgrade
We are also excited to announce that we will be proceeding with an upgrade to our school entrance and administration area. This is a project we have been eager to complete for some time, and with the support of School Council, we have been able to allocate funding for the works this year.
Please note that the school office will close at 12.00 pm this Friday and will remain closed throughout the upgrade. This will allow the removalists to relocate furniture and equipment. During Term 4, the Principal Class team will operate from Room 12.
While the office is closed, the following temporary arrangements will apply:
Families can contact the school through Sentral or by emailing kangaroo.flat.ps@education.vic.gov.au. We appreciate your patience and understanding while these exciting improvements are completed. It is going to be time consuming for staff and disruptive to classrooms arranging early student departures. Please only collect students for appointments or emergencies.
Term 4 promises to be another busy and exciting term, with many activities and events planned. In our first week back, Bendigo Community Health will visit to deliver the Puberty Program to our Grade 5 and 6 students.
We wish all our students and families a safe, relaxing and enjoyable holiday break. If your team is lucky enough to be playing in the finals, good luck—we hope the results go your way! We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 4.
Warm regards,
Melissa
