This term, our learning is taking a brilliant leap into the worlds of science, design, and storytelling. We have some incredible events lined up that will bring our classrooms to life and connect us with our wider school community.
Here is a sneak peek at what is ahead:

From August 15 to 23, we will be diving into National Science Week. This year’s theme is "Seeds of Science," and our students across all year levels will be exploring how big ideas grow from small beginnings.
We are weaving a strong STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) focus into every classroom this term. Our students will be hands-on, designing, testing, and problem-solving. All of this hard work will culminate in the final week of term, where we will open our doors for a fantastic Classroom Showcase alongside our highly anticipated Interschool STEM Expo! Stay tuned for dates, as you won't want to miss seeing our young innovators in action.

Hot on the heels of Science Week, we move from the lab to the library! From August 22 to 28, we will be celebrating Book Week under the beautiful theme, "Symphony of Stories." We will be exploring how different voices, characters, and tales come together to create a beautiful melody of learning and empathy. Keep an eye out for details on our annual Book Week dress-up celebrations soon!

To truly build and share a collective love of reading, we are doing something incredibly special this term. We are launching a Whole-School Novel Focus, and we are reading E.B. White’s absolute classic, Charlotte’s Web.
We warmly encourage all of our St. Joseph’s families to read along with us at home. Whether it’s a chapter before bed or a audio-book listen in the car, sharing this story together bridges the gap between school and home beautifully.
Why Charlotte’s Web? Aside from being a beautiful story of friendship, it perfectly mirrors our term focuses:
It is going to be a term of growth, discovery, and shared stories. Thank you for your continued partnership and support—let’s make Term 3 unforgettable!
