The Fresh Food Fair is the biggest event on the Surfside Primary School calendar, bringing our whole community together for a festive evening of food, music, class market stalls, rides, and much more.

The Fair is our school's major fundraiser for our award-winning Kitchen and Garden Program. Entirely funded through school fundraising, this unique program sets Surfside Primary apart in our region and provides students with invaluable hands-on cooking and gardening experiences.

To make the Fair a success, we ask every family to contribute by volunteering a minimum of two hours. Volunteer sign-up links will be shared soon, giving you the opportunity to choose a role that best suits your interests and availability.

There are many ways to get involved before and during the Fair. In the lead-up, we'll be looking for helping hands in the Kitchen and Garden to bake, prepare produce, weed, preserve, and get everything ready. During Fair week and on the day itself, volunteers are also needed to help with set-up, class stalls, food preparation, activities, and pack-down.

Working bee dates, kitchen cook-ups, and volunteer call-outs will be published in mid-August, so keep an eye out for opportunities to get involved.

Whether you're gardening, squeezing lemons, stirring curries, making soups, baking pastries, preparing preserves, or helping behind the scenes, every contribution helps make this event special. Even if you can spare just an hour or two in the kitchen or garden, your time will make a real difference.
