Keeping Our Students Safe at Drop-Off and Pick-Up
A friendly reminder to all families to please take extra care when dropping off and collecting your children before and after school.
We have noticed an increase in students crossing the road in unsafe areas or being dropped off in places that require them to cross between parked cars. This places students at significant risk.
Our school has a designated crossing with a crossing supervisor, and this is the safest place for students to cross the road. We strongly encourage all families to use this supervised crossing.
Please:
- Use the designated drop-off areas
- Avoid double parking or stopping in unsafe locations
- Ensure your child crosses only at the supervised crossing
2026 Canteen News!
Good news! 🎉 The Banyan Fields Primary School canteen is now open for orders!
From Wednesday 4th February, we’ll be using Flexischools for canteen ordering at our school. Over-the-counter sales will be available at recess and lunchtime!
🍎 Canteen Days: Our canteen will be open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, making lunch orders quick, easy and cash-free!
🤔 What is Flexischools?
Flexischools is Australia’s #1 school ordering solution, used in over 2,100 schools nationwide. It allows parents and students to conveniently order and pay for school lunches through the Flexischools app, available on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android).
The canteen menu and further information regarding Flexischools will be attached.
Over-the-counter sales will be available at recess and lunchtime. Please ensure students bring no more than a $10 note. Any amount over $10 will require a phone call home.

Please be aware that School Photo Day and the Year 4 & Year 6 Concert dates have changed.
The updated dates are highlighted in yellow for your reference.

Have you recently changed your address or mobile number?
To help us stay connected and ensure we can reach you when needed, please remember to notify the school of any changes to your contact details as soon as your circumstances change.
To update your child’s enrolment information, please email banyan.fields.ps@education.vic.gov.auwith the relevant changes, or request a Student Enrolment Information Form to be sent home with your child. This form allows you to review the details currently held on our system, make any necessary updates, and return it to the Banyan Fields Primary School office for processing.
