TheirCare News
Hi parents, guardians, staff and friends! Welcome to Week 7 of Term 4.
We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.
Week 7 already - it will be the end of Term before we know it! Our theme for this week is “Sprinkle Kindness”. This week was filled with fun and creativity! We spent our afternoons enjoying the sunshine and we had a great time playing outside! We also played soccer, footy, cricket and tennis! The children had a blast! To end the afternoon, we had an epic UNO competition, got creative with chalk murals, and drew colourful pictures and designs on the pavement! In the mornings we played lots of board games such as Monopoly, Connect 4, Cards Against Humanity and Guess Who! We also spent time exploring our artistic side with various art and craft activities. We made our own boxes, decorating them with markers to make them colourful!
Pupil of the Week
This week’s Pupil of the Week is Haruka Sato, for being brave enough to read the Acknowledgment of Country during group time, for always bringing a smile to Theircare every day, and spreading positivity to everyone around them. Well done, Haruka!!
Summer Holiday Program
We would like to let all families know that the Holiday Program is now open for booking. We will have three weeks and a day of fun at TheirCare. Flyers will be available soon in the TheirCare room, but you can access them online. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Announcement
We would like to let all families know that we are still undertaking a medical audit. If your child/children have medical conditions, please know that we need their updated medication and medical documents. Last week, we handed out a white envelope that has a pre-filled risk minimisation plan in it. If you could please sign it and return it to us. Also, due to it being a compliance document, unfortunately, we will have to suspend your accounts if we don’t have the documents on-site within this week.
This coming Friday, 22 November, we are celebrating the Pyjama Foundation National Fairy Bread Day! It is a celebration dedicated to empowering Aussie Kids in foster care to bring joy and love into the children’s lives that need it most. Please join us as we sprinkle some kindness by making our own fairy bread snack during after school care! Children are already excited and looking forward to it!
For all families – if you have any questions about TheirCare and would like to have a chat, please visit us in Emu Corner in the morning or afternoon. Alternatively, you can contact us on the details provided and we will be happy to help you.
