Parish Connection

The St. Monica’s Parish is excited to share the Eucharist with the classes from school each week. If any families would like to join your child’s class on a Friday, please make your way to the Church for 9.15 start (note the earlier start time for 2026).

Thank you to the families who join us each week for the celebration of Mass. We are so grateful for your partnership and look forward to continuing 2026 together in faith, learning and community. A new timetable is below for this term.

Sacrament Program Term 3 

We are pleased to share that the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist will take place in Term 3. This is an exciting next step for the students who celebrated their Reconciliation at the end of Term 1.

Families are invited to our Information Evening and First Session on Thursday 23 July at 6:00pm in St. Monica’s Parish Hall. Students will continue their preparation during school hours, just as they have in previous programs.

The sacramental celebration will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Quarry Hill, on Friday 4 September at 6:00pm.

More information will be shared later this term. We kindly ask families to keep these dates free.

St. Monica's Church - 1oo year's celebration - THANKYOU

St Monica’s Parish celebrated their 100‑year anniversary of St Monica’s Church, which was built in 1926. Our school was represented by 12 fabulous students who volunteered their time to sing areflection song as part of the celebration. There were many other students and their families who joined the celebrations and the scrumptious morning that followed the Mass. Thanks to all those who came along and supported this endeavour. The parish were thrilled by your presence. Thankyou!!

Altar Servers Ministry

Our Cluster Parishes are looking for new altar servers. Recruitment is open for those who have received their Confirmation and First Eucharist and are willing to serve in the Church. Expressions of interest are most welcome. Parish Office at 5443 4400.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC) who Have Reached Catechetical Age

The Sacred Heart Cathedral Cluster of Parishes invites children aged 7+ and are interested in becoming Catholic to enrol in our RCIC Program. This program is “intended for children, not baptised as infants, who have attained the use of reason and are of catechetical age (7 years old and over). They seek Christian initiation either at the direction of their parents or guardians or, with parental permission, on their own initiative.” (RCIA, 306)
