DIPG Awareness Month

On behalf of our amazing school community, we just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for their incredible donations throughout this month. From the capybara keyrings to the amazing support shown through our canteen, and every donation big or small, we are so incredibly grateful.
Because of the generosity of our community, we are so close to reaching our $10,000 target, with our current total sitting at an amazing $9,640! We are hopeful that with one final push this afternoon, we can get there together.
Thank you again for your kindness, support, and the way our community always comes together for such important causes. 💙🩷💜
We were so excited for our Chandler Jahn Day on Friday 15 May as we came together as a school community to honour Chandler and support the incredible work of the Isabella and Marcus Foundation during Brain Cancer Awareness Month. 💙
There were so many fun and meaningful activities throughout the day, including:
✨ Dressing in Chandler’s favourite colours — teal, purple, and pink
✨ Year-level discos with DJ Birnie
✨ Special canteen treats including Capybara Cookies, clouds, jelly cups, and slushies
✨ Fundraising activities happening across the school, including a talented local up-and-coming star performing at our whole-school assembly!
Students were encouraged to bring along a gold coin donation, with all funds raised going towards brain cancer research and awareness.
We were also so proud of the amazing fundraising efforts that took place at Woodlands! Through our recycling program, overseen by Mr Hall, along with the wonderful baking organised by Michelle in the office, we raised a fantastic amount of money for this important cause. 💙
Thank you to our families and community for continuing to support such an important cause while helping us celebrate Chandler’s legacy in such a positive and meaningful way.
